Canal Cottage in Shropshire is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and idyllic location. Guests enjoyed the proximity to local attractions, including Ironbridge Gorge museums and countryside walks. The presence of wildlife, particularly ducks, added to the charm. Some guests noted the steep stairs and parking considerations, but overall, the cottage provided a cosy and enjoyable stay.
Guests consistently noted the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotless' and 'well-presented'. The high level of cleanliness contributed significantly to the overall positive experience.
The location is highly praised for its beauty and convenience, with easy access to local pubs, restaurants, and museums. The scenic walks and wildlife were also appreciated, although one review mentioned disappointment with the parking situation.
The majority of guests found the cottage comfortable, mentioning a 'comfy bed' and 'cosy' setting. However, a few guests noted issues with comfort due to the uneven floors and steep stairs, which impacted the score slightly.
Facilities were generally well-regarded, with the cottage being described as 'well-equipped'. Some minor issues were raised, such as a missing cork screw and a wobbly table, but these were not widespread concerns.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the host in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Well equipped for my needs (proper cooking was undertaken) and a bed that was bliss. Two minor issues were dealt with immediately, which made things seem even better. Definitely one on the return to list, thank you!

Property is lovely and in a beautiful position We stayed more than three weeks and were very happy there Internal stairs are quite steep but are definitely part of the cottage character Amanda the owner was very quick to react on the couple of issues we raised during our stay and put them right straight away Would highly recommend
