Guests say

The Byre is a well-regarded cottage offering a warm, cosy, and comfortable stay. Guests appreciate its peaceful setting, with opportunities for stargazing and countryside walks. The friendly hosts and well-equipped facilities contribute to a pleasant experience, despite its remote location down a narrow lane.

The cottage is consistently described as clean and tidy, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that guests are satisfied with.

While the cottage's remote setting is praised for peace and quiet, its distance from shops and services, along with the narrow access lane, makes the location less convenient for some.

The cottage is generally found to be comfortable, especially the bedroom and shower room. However, there are remarks about the living area's layout and uncomfortable chairs, suggesting room for improvement.

Facilities are mentioned positively, with the cottage described as well laid out and equipped with everything needed. However, there is no specific information on maintenance, so a score cannot be provided.

While guests speak highly of the hosts' accommodating nature, there are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would fall under thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be assigned.

Lovely setting and very comfortable cottage. Warm and cosy with plenty of room. Able to walk from the property on public footpaths into the woods and beyond towards the Wrekin. Also a manageable 1/2 hour walk down to the Mill at Leighton pub which serves good beers and food. Amazing dark skies with plenty of constellations easily visible and even a bright shooting star.
