Wonderful walking can be enjoyed in the Shropshire Hills, and National Cycle Network route 81 is just 50 yards from the cottage. Shrawardine is a quiet and secluded village situated in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, ideally located for touring this scenic county. Shrawardine is home to the fascinating ruins of a 13th Century Norman castle with impressive views. Just six miles away the medieval city of Shrewsbury, offering a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants, a new theatre, timber-framed black-and-white buildings, riverside walks, an abbey and a castle, is waiting to be explored. The owners have thought very carefully about the things that visitors will need during their stay. The owners are extremely friendly and on hand if help is needed. The gifts of eggs, milk and fruit were much appreciated.

I specifically chose it because of the downstairs en suite room as we had an older member of the family with us. The accommodation suited our needs perfectly and was located to a number of very attractive locations to visit. The hosts were welcoming and helpful.
