Secluded within the grounds of the owner s small holding and beautifully restored this property offers a delightful break at any time of year. It has welcoming wood burning stoves and exposed beams throughout enhancing the countryside aesthetic and tying in wonderfully with the incredible scenery. It lies within the pretty hamlet of Pen-y-Bont which is made up of a few scattered houses and a traditional village pub. It s real selling point though is its access to great walking and cycling trails including the 177 miles of National Trail Offa s Dyke. Nearby is the ancient market town of Oswestry which is brimming with unique shops restaurants and a farmers market as well as its well-preserved hilltop Iron Age fort. Step into the light airy property and hang your coats in the hallway. Walk through the spacious double bedroom and into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has floor to ceiling windows to make the most of the panoramic countryside views. Unwind on the sofa in front of the wood burner for a cosy evening in perhaps watching the TV or putting on a DVD. There s also a huge selection of books to keep you entertained during your stay. Dine at the large country-style dining table which is in the well-equipped kitchen area. Here you ll also find an electric oven and gas hob microwave and fridge; a shared freezer washing machine and tumble dryer are also on site. Enjoy a good night s sleep in the spacious double bedroom which can be made into a twin on request. This too enjoys breath-taking countryside views and has a feature wood burner. There s also a bathroom with bath with handheld shower and WC. Outside you ll find a patio area with table and chairs - the perfect spot to enjoy an al fresco dinner or perhaps sit with a drink and take in the fresh country air. Parking is available for 1 car.
