Guests say

The Cider Mill Cottage in Ludlow is highly praised for its welcoming hosts, Sue and Martin, and its excellent location with beautiful scenery and local amenities. Guests love the large, secure garden, ideal for dogs and wildlife watching, and the cottage's comfort, including a log burner and powerful shower. The property is well-equipped and perfect for both relaxation and exploring nearby towns and nature spots.

Guests are generally pleased with the cleanliness, though one mention of the oven's cleanliness being subpar slightly impacts the score. The property is otherwise well-maintained.

The location is consistently lauded for its proximity to local towns, scenic walks, and amenities, making it an ideal spot for a countryside getaway.

The cottage's comfort is well-regarded, with mentions of a relaxing stay, a powerful shower, and a log burner for cosy evenings.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the large garden and the log burner. However, the lack of condiments and the oven's cleanliness slightly detract from the overall excellent facilities.

While the hosts are mentioned as welcoming and helpful, there are no specific references to gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Cider Mill Cottage was a real surprise when we arrived - Sue was very welcoming and the cottage gave a great first impression which only got better as we settled in. The cottage has everything that is required for a relaxing stay. The surrounding area has something for everyone. The local farm shop is great for a special something. Not too far away was the owl sanctuary (with small animals such as Goats, Sheep and red squirrels) and a great little cafe. Nowhere in Herefordshire is more than an hour + away. lmost forgot our small dog loved the large enclosed garden. Cider press is quite a feature in the downstairs lounge.

This was our 15th visit to this wonderful place with visits 16 and 17 already booked for 2026.What can I say that we haven't said before? We just love the cottage, the quiet countryside and the large secure garden is ideal for our ********* lab. There are the beautiful towns of Leominster, Ludlow and Tenbury Wells just a short drive away and Mortimer Forest is ideal for those longer walks. Sue and Martin are always very welcoming and can advise on any local tourist spots. There is a wide variety of birds visiting the garden and the lack of light pollution makes stargazing a delight.
