Known as Shropshire's Lakeland, Ellesmere is a picturesque market town with buildings from the Tudor, Georgian, and Victorian periods. It is located between the Shropshire Meres and the famous Shropshire to Llangollen canal. History abounds in this tranquil town, which was originally a fortified Anglo-Saxon settlement. Thomas Telford called this place home during the construction of the canal network in the late 18th century, and the town's lovely church has a roof dating back to the 15th century. There is plenty to do in and around the town's meres, as well as a wide selection of shops, pubs, and restaurants. You can take a stroll through Cremorne Gardens, go fishing or boating, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Colemere Country Park, or take a stroll along the canal. An attractive place that caters to visitors of all ages and interests throughout the year.

Shower was excellent, bed comfy and a beautiful view over the marina. Maybe a little instruction on how to operate hob. Would definitely recommend, lovely walks by the canal too, thank you

  • Christine

Beds comfortable .Our only concern was the settees and chair were a bit uncomfortable. Also it would of been lovely to see the view out side while sitting in the living room, but not alot can be done about that. In all accommodation fantastic. Parking next to house. Everything just perfect.
