A Grade II listed property that has been lovingly renovated to create a welcoming, character cottage, decorated and furnished in a classic country style. The entrance hall leads through into an attractive, comfy sitting room with a full-height picture window and a woodburner set against a feature stone wall. The kitchen is well equipped and thoughtfully laid out with a lantern-style roof light and a large social dining area for guests to eat and relax in comfort. There are five well-appointed bedrooms, including a ground floor twin offering en-suite shower facilities in a wet room, which also benefits from wide doors and grab rails and may therefore suit the less mobile.

There are two first floor bedrooms with king-size beds and the master also enjoys an en-suite shower room, while two further bedrooms have the option of being made up as super king-size doubles or twins. Enjoy dining alfresco in the private, secluded garden with a cobbled patio, which is sheltered by woodland and provides a delightful, tranquil spot to sit and relax whilst enjoying the surrounding wildlife and country air. The owners have thoughtfully provided a Scandinavian-style log cabin with an internal barbecue stove with a shower and WC attached and small kitchen area so everything you need is ready and waiting!

There is a multi-level decked area and outdoor sofas and a table for you to relax in the warm weather or there is ample room around the wood fire in the barbecue hut. There is also a wood-fired cedar barrel sauna and hot tub, allowing you to enjoy a steam and soak before tucking into a tasty barbecue. There are many scenic hill walks from this superb cottage, through the Tanat Valley and onto the nearby Berwyn Mountains, and access can be found onto the popular Offa's Dyke footpath with ease. Enjoy day trips to the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, visit the world Heritage site of Ironbridge with its many museums and craft shops, or enjoy a trip to Lake Vyrnwy with its numerous water sports activities and circular walks, before returning to this delightful holiday cottage to plan tomorrow's activities.

Pros Jacuzzi- it can fit 8 people and was perfect for a large group. Separate kitchen and living room area, as well as outside bbq hut meant there were many places to chat and do things separately. Two ovens and large fridge freezer meant that meals were easy to cook and store. Considerations The BBQ was extremely small for the size of the house and difficult to keep at a constant temperature. We ended up giving up and using the oven. Whilst there is plenty of kitchen utensils etc, all the storage is used for plates, glasses etc. Meaning you use the worktop for non-chilled food and then have no where to prep meals. Whilst there are 3 bathrooms, two are ensuite, meaning that 6 of you will need to utilise a single bathroom. Overall I would thoroughly recommend, just putting considerations on to help people plan there holiday.

The location was beautiful. The outside space is phenomenal, and the interior is gorgeous, perfect for a getaway for a friends birthday celebration. Communication with the owner was great. We would definitely visit again.

A beautiful barn conversion with a French feel. Very spacious accommodation, enormous beds, well equipped, a dog safe garden except for the top right corner which we barricaded with a spare pair of wooden steps from the car port (but we do have an energetic & adventurous dog). There were copious amounts of dishes etc in the pantry, great for catering. The modem is also placed in the pantry which is not ideal as it has a tendency to drop out. The best place to use wifi is at the kitchen table, with easy access to reboot the modem. The outdoor facilities were tremendous, jacuzzi with cold spray facility, a huge circular indoor barbecue hut. A lovely space to gather in the round, also outdoor seating in that area. robes are provided by they ask you to bring your own towels just for the hot tub area. The Coach House has offers great accommodation, with ethnic textile furnishings. The large driveway and garden has outdoor seating just outside the front door. It is surrounded by tall trees, with plenty of birdsong. A very peaceful place to be. The owners were more than helpful with any help we needed because they live in an adjacent property. We had a bit of an issue with the dishwasher, but because there were 6 adults in our party we just got stuck in and washed up! Because it is in the country with animals around, there are flies, so would recommend a fly paper strip to hang in the kitchen, but DON'T let this put you off. Nearest shops at Oswestry including a large Morrisons supermarket.
