About this property

Plasauduon is a beautiful, semi-detached holiday home resting in the quaint market town of Bishop's Castle, Shropshire. The family-friendly property welcomes six guests to stay in a rustic setting with Shropshire Hills AONB right on your doorstep. Park up on the quiet, residential street and step inside your new home-away-from-home with a bright and colourful exterior. Be welcomed into an open-plan living space with pretty farmhouse furnishings throughout; stock up the cupboards in the kitchen area with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher for an easy self-catering stay. After muddy walks, throw your gear straight into the handy washing machine ready for the next day! Enjoy a hearty family meal at the dining table, before retiring to the inviting sitting room, complete with wooden beams and a gorgeous stone fireplace with a woodburning stove to gently warm the room, whilst you sink into the sofa and watch a movie. For extra peace and quiet, retreat to the conservatory with a good book and a hot drink. Step outside into Plasauduon's lovely garden, with outdoor seating to dine alfresco and a lawn area for little ones and dogs to play. When it's time for bed, choose between a ground-floor shower room or the upstairs bathroom; relish a long soak in the bubbles or take a speedy rinse in the shower, before climbing into fresh pyjamas. Catch your rest in one of two twin rooms or choose the double room with a charming feature fireplace. You'll have the amenities and attractions of Bishop's Castle within easy reach, including plenty of dining options to take a break from cooking, and shops to pick up the essentials; discover the local history at The House on Crutches Museum and Bishops Castle Railway Society, or be sure to visit during one of the town's iconic festivals, including Party in the Park and the particularly popular, Michaelmas Fair. A walker's paradise, Plasauduon is ideally located for exploring the Welsh Marches and Shropshire Hills AONB, known for its picturesque landscapes and waterways. Spend the day in Montgomery, home to the hilltop ruins of an 11th-century castle, The Old Bell Museum and plenty of eateries to fuel your day. Next stop is Ludlow to discover the hidden rooms of the market town's Norman castle, which also hosts fayres and concerts, before stretching your legs at Linney Riverside Park or hiking up Whitcliffe Common for panoramic views. The town of Shrewsbury is another must-visit with the River Severn running around it; stop for a picnic in The Quarry park, marvel at the artifacts in the Victorian mansion now home to Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery or take a gentle cruise along the river to admire the town's historic architecture. Enjoy a memorable family holiday with a stay at Plasauduon!

The South West Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surround the charming market town of Bishop's Castle. The ancient town hosts a weekly market as well as a wide range of shops, bars, and restaurants.
