Be sure to utilise the garden in the warmer months; stone steps lead you to a lovely multilevel garden with a lawned area for your furry friends to stretch their legs, dining furniture, and a handy external gym to work off any extra energy at the end of the day. For days out while at the cottage, take a trip to the nearby The House on Crutches Museum, a gorgeous and historic timber-framed museum on the social history of the area. A fascinating attraction within the area is the Land of Lost Content, displaying a world of British popular culture. Younger guests and history buffs will enjoy an immersive afternoon at Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, discovering working life in the 19th century. Nearby you will also find Stokesay Castle, a 13th century fortified manor home, and Clun Castle, the ancient ruins from the 12th century.
