Snaptrip says

The Hideout in Ross-on-Wye is highly praised for its stunning views, cleanliness, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped property, comfortable amenities, and the warm hospitality from the hosts, Ian and Sally. The presence of a pool adds to the charm, and the property is deemed perfect for both short and long stays, with or without pets. The thoughtful touches, such as a welcoming cake, enhance the experience, although such gestures are not guaranteed.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers consistently mention the property being 'spotlessly clean' and well maintained, indicating a very high standard of cleanliness that contributes positively to their overall experience.

The property's location is frequently described as peaceful with 'amazing views' and 'stunning' surroundings. Its proximity to local walks and a friendly pub adds to its appeal, making the location highly regarded by guests.

Guests find the property comfortable, mentioning a 'sumptuous double bed', 'well maintained and comfortable' facilities, and a cosy atmosphere, especially with the log burner. The only minor drawback noted is a desire for a more powerful shower.

The facilities, including a fully equipped kitchen, luxurious bathroom, and the bonus of a swimming pool, are well-received. The mention of a 'fabulous pool' and 'exquisitely designed interior' suggests high satisfaction, although a few small suggestions for improvements prevent a perfect score.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is highlighted through gestures like a 'cake on arrival' and providing local advice. While these personal touches are greatly appreciated, it is noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be a consistent offering for all stays.

We had a wonderful peaceful New Year hiding away from everything. Beautiful and cosy little place. Snug as a bug with an amazing log burner and plenty of logs. Stunning views and lots of walks straight from the door. All over too soon.....

The hosts are very helpful and the lemon drizzle cake was delicious. Hopefully our next visit we’ll be able to take advantage of the lovely pool

The Hideout was clean, well equipped, in a fabulous location and the pool just topped it off. Great base to explore the surrounding area (if you could drag yourself out of the pool). Our dog also had a great time and loved playing with Ian and Sally’s own dogs. Can’t wait to go back.
