Guests say

Guests consistently praise 'The Stable' for its excellent location, comfort, and dog-friendly environment. The cottage's secure garden and proximity to scenic walks and amenities are highlights. Owners are commended for their helpfulness and privacy. Some minor criticisms include a lack of hairdryer and occasional maintenance issues, but overall, the property is well-received for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The cottage generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with comfortable furnishings and a cosy atmosphere. However, a few guests noted areas for improvement, such as windows and patio doors needing cleaning, and the presence of cobwebs, which slightly impacts the score.

The location is highly praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and convenience for exploring the Wye Valley, local towns, and nearby attractions. The proximity to water and wildlife adds to the charm, making it an ideal spot for a getaway.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the beds and the cosy living space. The secure garden is appreciated for both dogs and children. Some guests felt the space might be tight for four adults, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and good outdoor space. However, there are comments about a temperamental shower and a misleading fishing facility, which suggests some room for improvement in maintenance and accurate advertising.

While some guests mention receiving eggs, biscuits, and wine, which indicates thoughtfulness, there are not enough references to consistently evaluate this category across all reviews. Therefore, it is politely noted that such gestures, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The garden and river running alongside is lovely. The owners were friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that the shower is pathetic. Coupled with low water pressure (we think), the head needed cleaning (which we did) but nothing beats a power shower!

Really nice and quiet max our cocker Spaniel loved the big field just outside the door Same about the fishing it was too much over grown still plenty of other things to do thank you

The large secure garden is brilliant for dogs and children and the little bridge to the island (accessed via a gate from the main garden) was fun to explore. Some nice eateries nearby and overall a perfect base to explore the forest, Symonds Yat and the River Wye. We would definitely love to revisit.
