This lovely semi-detached property, adjacent to the owner’s home, makes an excellent base for walkers, cyclists and guests looking to explore the surrounding area, with the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons within easy reach. The accommodation is all on one level and benefits from a shared garden with sitting-out area. Situated near the Mortimers Trail and not far from the Black and White Trail, which brings many visitors to this particular part of the Wye Valley in Herefordshire. The property is located just west of Leominster and close to the border of Wales. Close by you can visit Hay-on-Wye, famous for its books and festivals, Hereford cathedral, Mappa Mundi, Hereford racecourse, Croft Castle, Oaker Wood Leisure centre and the Cider Museum, or why not go canoeing at Hereford or Brecon? Fishing and golf can also be found in the area. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

Accommodation was ok for a short stay. Bathroom not easy to use as it was up a step and was very small. This isn’t apparent from the pictures.

The actual accommodation was clean and had everything needed. However the photos on the website showing the front of the building fail to show there is a main road just over the hedge. At the rear of the property there is just what I believe to be an old barn which has been turned into a business with cars parked everywhere and cars moving all through the day. I had a hoped for a quiet country retreat with good views of the surrounding countryside which is not what this property delivers.

A wonderful place to stay in a beautiful setting with lots of lovely walks (including woodland and river for those really hot days) locally and further afield. It was clean and comfortable with a great shower. Beautifully peaceful. Wendy was a great host - incredibly helpful when we had issues with our car! It's worth a mention that there is no shop or pub currently within safe walking distance as described but this did not detract from a wonderful holiday as there were options that didn't take long in the car.
