Enjoying a quiet position with plenty of opportunities for birdwatching and spotting wildlife, whilst being just six miles from the amenities of Ledbury, The Prospect is a great base for couples seeking a rural abode in Herefordshire. Stepping inside, the lodge consists of a studio-style layout with a compact but well-equipped kitchen, so you can easily whip-up a tasty meals when you’re not out dining at a local restaurant. The shower and WC can be found externally on the other side of the decking. Spend your evenings out in the garden, admiring the serene setting with trees, hills and fields in view, instantly putting you at ease. Awaken from a leisurely slumber and pop on your walking boots and head to see the resident herd of donkeys before roaming the local area filled with an abundance of walking routes and cycling trails to embark on. Hop in the car and venture to Ledbury, an ancient market town with an abundance of shops ranging from high street names to independent retailers, while also being famed for its numerous timbered buildings, including Ledbury Park, believed to be one of the finest black and white buildings in England, The Market House and the restored Master's House. For those seeking outdoor pursuits this is a great base to access the Malvern Hills (with views of the Black Mountains on the Welsh border), Eastnor Castle, the Three Choirs Way, the Elgar Route, the Three Choirs Vineyard and Restaurant, and Hereford with its splendid cathedral housing the famous Mappa Mundi museum and Chained Library. Further afield lies the spa town of Cheltenham, home to its acclaimed horse racing events, while the waterside city of Gloucester is perfect if you fancy a change of scenery. The Prospect is a quaint hideaway for two, well-placed for accessing the delights of Herefordshire.

East of Hereford, under the Malvern Hills, is the historic market town of Ledbury, which dates back to 960 AD. It is surrounded by pristine English countryside. On the banks of the River Leadon, the town of Ledbury is renowned for its many timbered structures, such as Ledbury Park, which is thought to be one of England's finest Black and White structures, the 17th-century Market House in the heart of the city, and The Painted Room, which contains frescoes from the 16th century. The town and its surroundings host numerous events celebrating music, art, food, and drink. Festivals of music, art, poetry, food, and drink are occasionally hosted in the city. Eastnor Castle, a superb example of a 19th century mock-medieval castle, is nearby, and Eastnor Park hosts a number of festivals. The historic city of Hereford, home of the world-famous Mappa Mundi and Chained Library, is nearby. Its cathedral dates back to the 11th century. Malvern provides visitors with numerous scenic hillside walks, a lavish spa, and the Morgan Motor Company for auto aficionados. Visitors can also take advantage of the nearby wineries, cruise the Elgar Route, see the Black and White villages, and engage in a variety of outdoor activities in the stunning Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. a wonderful vacation spot any time of year.
