Enclosed decking and gravel area with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Hot tub for 6 (private). 3 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. Set within the owners’ working sheep and cattle farm in an elevated position to take in the stunning rural views. The lodge has private parking below the property from which there is an uphill walk and then approximately 6 steps to the front door, opening directly into the spacious open plan living space. Patio doors lead out onto a beautiful balcony area with spectacular views up the valley, and is the perfect space for relaxing with a glass of your favourite tipple as you watch the sun go down.
Nearby there are walks aplenty for the more active, and many open gardens to explore including Hergest Croft Gardens in nearby Kington. There is also the small breeds animal park, also situated just outside Kington which younger visitors will be able to enjoy all year round. Kington also provides guests with pubs and restaurants to enjoy as well as a number of takeaway restaurants if you are looking to enjoy a night in.
The property is just 13 miles from the popular town of Hay-on-Wye which is famous for its many book shops and annual Hay Festival, which attracts many visitors each year, including many celebrity faces. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

What a fabulous find. Stunning views all around and equipped to a very high standard. Plenty of room and the hot tub and games room are an added bonus. We will most definitely be returning!

Fantastic, the views were spectacular! The lodge was equipped with everything you could need and more, it even had a slow cooker! The hosts have put some serious thought into making your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. There were towels on the beds, separate towels for the hot tub and even dedicated dog towels incase you get caught out in the rain on your walks. The outdoor space was fully enclosed for the dogs. The woodland walks were beautiful and accessible to walk directly from the lodge. Having the log burner made it feel cosy on an evening too. We stayed for the week, it was great to have a washer/dryer no need to do the mounds of holiday washing when you return home because we could wash as we wore plus there was a washing line outside and pegs to use for the duration of our stay. The cupboards were stocked with essentials such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, tea, coffee, sugar etc. On arrival there was a box of biscuits and a pint of milk which was a lovely surprise. We will be returning in the future for sure.

We had a great time at the Lodge, perfect location away from everything, just a short 10 minute drive into the village if anything was needed. The Lodge itself was beautiful, well equipped and clean. My only negative is that the bed and pillows were too soft for me but thats a personal thing. Hot tub was cleaned every morning, the hosts were brilliant will 100% be returning in the near future
