Set within the owners’ working sheep and cattle farm in an elevated position to take in the stunning rural views, Larchwood Lodge has private parking below the property from which there is a short uphill walk to the front door (approx. 12 steps up to the front door).
Larchwood Lodge has been renovated to a high standard in 2023 and offers comfort and luxury throughout this ground floor accommodation. Walk directly into the spacious, open plan living space which is just fabulous, there’s a wood burner for those colder evenings and underfloor heating throughout the property. The 22-foot bi-folding doors lead out onto a beautiful decked area with spectacular views of the rolling hills and valley, a great space for relaxing with a glass of your favourite tipple as you watch the sun go down and listen to the local wildlife, don’t forget there is also the private hot tub on the decked area which is undercover and has a Smart TV on the wall!
Nearby there are walks aplenty for the more active, and many open gardens to explore including Hergest Croft Gardens in nearby Kington. There is also the small breed animal park situated just outside Kington, which younger visitors will be able to enjoy all year round. Kington also provides guests with pubs and restaurants to enjoy, as well as a number of takeaway restaurants if you are looking to enjoy a night in. The property is just 13 miles from the popular town of Hay-on-Wye which is famous for its many book shops and annual Hay Festival, which attracts many visitors each year, including many celebrity faces. Pub and restaurant 1¾ miles.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Larchwood lodge to anyone looking to recharge and experience this beautiful part of the country. The lodge itself is huge, modern and exceptionally well presented with everything you could need!

We had a lovely stay here, views are stunning, hot tub was amazing it was nice all the little birdies sat watching whilst you were in the hot tub. We were visited daily by a pair of red kites which flew very low over the lodge it was phenomenal. The lodge itself was very warm, showers were hot and beds were comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed, the log burner is beautiful. Only thing is getting to the lodge the path is steep so make sure you wear good shoes but it's definitely worth the climb

Absolutely outstanding. One of the nicest places I've stayed in, in the UK. It was the most magical Christmas, with everything you could possibly ask for. From the log burner, to the hot tub, woodland walks literally on your doorstep, and everything in-between. Will 💯 recommend 👌
