About this property

Full of charm and character, this countryside cottage is the perfect escape for relaxation whilst providing the ideal base for exploring rural Suffolk.

Wren Cottage is a quaint cottage oozing comfort for two guests. Combining the tranquillity of the countryside but within easy access to the Suffolk Heritage Coast, Wren Cottage is a must. Handy for all the amenities on offer in the traditional seaside resort of Southwold, rambling through reedbeds at Walberswick and enjoying the splendours of Dunwich Heath, it is also only 30 minutes’ drive away from Aldeburgh, home to the world famous music festival at Snape Maltings.

Wren Cottage has a cosy woodburner perfect for a little extra warmth during the winter season and retains its traditional features such as brick flooring in the kitchen and a winding staircase. There is also a delightful rear courtyard and at the front of the cottage is a sunny, long, shared garden with pretty shrubs and plants. Wren Cottage is nestled in the little Suffolk village of Wissett - of which Virginia Woolf wrote "Wissett seems to lull asleep all ambition. Don't you think they have discovered the secret of life? I thought it wonderfully harmonious." It is one mile from the small market town of Halesworth which is a well-known market town. Shop: 1 mile. Pub: 20 yards.
