Alec Hill's Bakehouse is a small but perfectly formed place to stay while you explore the wider Suffolk and Norfolk coast and countryside. Located in Wangford, it is just 3 miles to the Victorian seaside resort of Southwold. Alec Hill used the bakehouse to supply the baked produce for his shop and tea room, situated at No. 29, during the 1930s through to the 1950s. The traditional clapboard bakehouse survived a wwii bomb hit and following its time as a bakehouse, became an artist's studio.
