Settled into the seaside town of Southwold, Suffolk, Ferry Cottage is ideal for a family or group of adults looking for a coastal getaway. Relax in the sitting room after your journey and enjoy the welcoming glow from the woodburning stove as you plan the day ahead of you, perhaps making lunch in the amply fitted kitchen/diner, where double doors open up onto the garden, making dining alfresco convenient. There are three bedrooms within the property, including a king-size with TV and en-suite, two doubles with a TV and an en-suite and finally a bunk with mezzanine level snug with a TV. Southwold is a fantastic coastal town with so much on offer, beginning with the amazing Denes beach, ideal for seaside walks and watersports. Explore the independent shops on offer and sample local produce before ending the day in one of the many eateries with a glass of your favourite beverage. Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, rspb Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.
