Dove Cottage is beautiful. It has everything you need for any length of stay. All the furnishings and equipment are excellent quality and it’s so comfortable and very warm.The living area is all open plan and incredibly spacious, which is perfect for inclusion during cooking fests! Chat, drink wine, cook 🩷The cottage is a 10-15 minute walk to the market town of Halesworth which is super sleepy this time of year but has some pretty shops and all your essentials. The Angel Inn is a great place for a post-hike IPA and has a fabulous Italian restaurant (you need to book). Easy drives to Southwold and Framlingham (for a local parkrun). Also a great 8-mile trail if hiking is your thing.In all, excellent value and a good location

From the moment we arrived for our Christmas break, Janet and Brian were the perfect hosts. We were greeted with homemade mince pies and mulled wine (which were delicious!) and were showed around the lovely upside down cottage which has all the home comforts you would expect. There was a Christmas tree, and the dining room table was festively dressed, as well as a lovely wreath and outdoor decorations. Such a nice touch when you are away over the Christmas period! The open plan living room and log burner is so cozy, and the kitchen is well fitted with high quality items. There are board games and books available, as well as a separate games room which is great for kids and groups. The beds are very comfortable with firm supportive mattresses. Honestly we didn’t want for anything. Janet and Brian are just next door and are so kind and warm. They do everything they can to ensure you have a lovely stay. Best hosts we’ve ever had by far! Can’t recommend enough!
