For historical and cultural sites there are the National Trust archaeological sites, the Museum of East Anglian Life at Stowmarket, Orford Castle, Framlingham Castle, Leiston Abbey and Sutton Hoo. A popular choice with cyclist and walkers; having so many trails and quiet routes to explore. Circular walking available from doorstep. Golfers are spoilt for choice with a range of wonderful golf courses nearby.
Popular market towns of Ipswich, 8.5 miles, and Bury St Edmunds, 28 miles. Nearby Woodbridge (16 minutes’ drive) known as the ‘gem’ in Suffolk’s crown, having excellent shops, plenty of superb eateries and marina for boating trips (seasonal). You’ll also find bird reserves close by including rspb Minsmere. Beach 18 miles. Shop, pub, and restaurants 1.8 miles.

We had an excellent stay at garden cottage. The welcome pack was great and very much appreciated. Being able to wander round the garden was lovely. The best thing about the cottage is Linda and Alan they really make everything extra special

What a fabulous cottage: warm, comfortable and a home from home! It is perfect for 2 and so peaceful. We spent some time visiting different Suffolk villages and also some time just chilling in this lovely accommodation.
