Enjoy the historic villages of Woodbridge, Lavenham, Clare and Cavendish, where the streets are lined with timber-framed buildings and there are eating and drinking opportunities galore. For historical and cultural sites there are the National Trust archaeological sites, the Museum of East Anglian Life at Stowmarket, Orford Castle, Framlingham Castle, Leiston Abbey and Sutton Hoo. A popular choice with cyclist and walkers; having so many trails and quiet routes to explore. Circular walking available from doorstep. Golfers are spoilt for choice with a range of wonderful golf courses nearby.
Popular market towns of Ipswich, 8.5 miles, and Bury St Edmunds, 28 miles. Nearby Woodbridge (16 minutes’ drive) known as the ‘gem’ in Suffolk’s crown, having excellent shops, plenty of superb eateries and marina for boating trips (seasonal). You’ll also find bird reserves close by including rspb Minsmere. Beach 18 miles. Shop, pub, and restaurants 1.8 miles.

Our hosts were very welcoming and left us a beautiful welcome pack which was very much appreciated. The gardens were beautiful and it was lovely that we were welcome to make use of it.The cottage itself was ideal and was a great base to travel around the area, we had a lovely, relaxing break, thankyou

Beautifully appointed compact and cosy cottage for two. We arrived to a friendly welcome from our hosts who had thoughtfully left two ice lollies in the freezer for us along with wine, juice beer and snacks. An ideal base for exploring Suffolk.
