Walberswick has shops, cafes and traditional pubs, and the foot ferry across the River Blyth brings you to delightful Southwold (1.5 miles).

Southwold’s host of attractions includes a golden, sandy beach, lined with brightly painted huts and a landmark, town-centre lighthouse. Spot some of the UK’s rarest birds at RSPB Minsmere (8.5 miles), a nature reserve with idyllic walks and the chance to see other wildlife, such as otters. Children will enjoy pond dipping, den building and hunting for mini-beasts in the Wild Zone. For more family fun, head to the Maize Maze (6.5 miles), with a giant puzzle of pathways, zip wires, go-karts and more.
