While some guests mention road noise and cleanliness issues, the overall sentiment is positive, with many planning to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. While some guests found the property immaculate, others reported issues with musty bedding, stained protectors, and general cleanliness. The management's responsiveness to these concerns is noted.

The location is generally well-regarded for its convenience to local attractions and peacefulness. However, some guests noted the proximity to a main road and lack of pavements, which affected their experience slightly.

Comfort is a strong point for this property, with guests frequently mentioning the spacious rooms and large, comfortable beds. The effective heating system and secure garden add to the comfort level, despite some comments about excessive warmth.

Facilities are considered high-standard, with a well-equipped property and secure areas for dogs. Some minor issues were raised regarding TV size and maintenance aspects like the bike shed access and driveway width.

Guests often express gratitude for the thoughtful welcome gifts, including wine, biscuits, and milk, although it's important to note that such amenities are subject to change and not guaranteed.

Tunstall is a small village in the Lune Valley, just three miles from Kirkby Lonsdale and the ‘famous’ Devils Bridge, made up of traditional stone built dwellings, a Grade I listed Church and the Lunesdale Arms, a renowned bar and fine restaurant. Located just a mile away, The Highwayman Inn is one of a group of fine dining pubs owned by the renowned chef Nigel Haworth. Nearby Kirkby Lonsdale is situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, mid-way between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Thursday is market day, a perfect opportunity for visitors to explore the variety of distinctive shops in the town, or the many 17th and 18th century buildings which still stand. This part of the Lune Valley was a favourite haunt of the artist Turner, and was made famous by Ruskin - his "view" of the valley is still spectacular. The quiet country lanes are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or even horse. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, fishing and a variety of riverside and country walks, making the area an ideal location for a break, whatever time of year.

Although replaced, dirty marks were still visible on the bedsheets. We were told that they were "persistent stains" that wouldn't come out. I don't think that this is a reasonable response. Stains were brown marks on white towels, marks that looked like old mould stains on white sheets and dirty pillowcases. For this reason we wouldn't be comfortable going back or recommending to friends or family. A lot of money was spent to stay at this property for our family's short break so we were very disappointed.

We feel it would be useful to have some cleaning products as it's recommended that we ensure we clean before leaving. However it wouldn't stop us visiting again
