Guests say

The Cart Shed in Saxmundham is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful countryside location, and comfortable amenities. Guests have enjoyed the proximity to nature reserves, coastal villages, and local attractions. The property is described as a hidden gem, offering a relaxing and cosy stay with beautiful views and wildlife sightings. While one review mentioned maintenance issues, the majority highlight a clean, well-equipped, and welcoming environment, making it a favoured choice for repeat visits.

Most guests found the cottage to be immaculately clean and well-presented, with only one review citing cleanliness issues upon arrival. The positive remarks about the property's cleanliness from several guests suggest a high standard is typically maintained.

The location is highly praised for its peaceful countryside setting and good access to the Suffolk coast, nature reserves, and local attractions. The need for transport is mentioned, but it does not detract from the overall positive reception of the location.

Guests have consistently noted the cottage's comfort, mentioning the cosy atmosphere, clean and comfortable furnishings, and the presence of a log burner. The property is described as a relaxing home from home, contributing to a high comfort score.

While many reviews praise the well-equipped nature of the cottage, including a games room and a utility room, there is a lack of consistent information regarding the overall maintenance of the facilities to accurately score this category.

Several guests appreciated the thoughtful touches by the hosts, such as a welcome pack with wine and biscuits. It is important to note that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

we had to clean the cottage when we arrived, the place is poorly maintained and when we complained nothing was done about it. The magazines are 5-6 years out of date, the mattress was badly stained and disgusting

The property was immaculately clean, including inside the cupboards and the oven! There weren't any amenities nearby, except for the Two Magpies Bakery School which was about a mile and half down the road, but we knew this before booking it. If I was being really picky a couple of bigger mugs (and glasses) wouldn't go a miss, if you like a decent sized cuppa. Lovely and peaceful break :-)
