About this property

Occupying a sought-after location in the centre of the vibrant, seaside town of Aldeburgh in Suffolk, Eldoret is the ideal setting for a truly memorable family holiday. Surprisingly for a centrally-located property, Eldoret has plenty of outside space with two courtyard gardens allowing guests to chase the sun throughout the day and the perfect spaces for getting together and enjoying time eating and drinking alfresco. Inside, the accommodation is light and airy and has been tastefully furnished, creating a truly inviting space. The sitting room is incredibly spacious with loads of seating for everyone and with bookcases filled with books and plenty of entertainment from the TV, DVD player and speaker, there is never a dull moment at Eldoret. The kitchen/diner is a wonderful space for socialising with a stylish fully fitted kitchen containing everything for the designated chef to be able to create delicious food for everyone. The attractive dining area includes a large, rustic dining table which is just perfect for everyone to gather around and tuck into some hearty fayre while catching up on holiday news and putting the world to rights. If the sun is shining, then there is plenty of space for dining outside, too. When it’s time for bed, then guests can choose from a single, a twin or a fabulous super-king-size bedroom; all are immaculately presented and offer a fantastic space for chilling out and relaxing after a day of fresh air and exploring. With a bathroom and a shower room to choose from, there won’t be any queues for the bathroom! Waking up at Eldoret is idyllic and the location couldn’t be better, so after a quick coffee, why not head out into Aldeburgh to explore? Here you will find a great range of shops and amenities as well as beach with some fantastic brightly coloured beach huts. Take a walk along the coast to Thorpeness and you’ll be rewarded with some breath-taking views or jump in the car for just a few miles and you’ll arrive at Snape, with its famous concert hall and venue for Aldeburgh Music Festival and the Maltings, which offers a select range of shops and boutiques. Towns worth a visit include Southwold, Lowestoft, Saxmundham, Orford and Bury St Edmunds. Attractions include Helmingham Hall and Open Gardens, Easton Farm Park, Adnams Brewery and Somerleyton Hall. Eldoret offers guest a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the heart of Aldeburgh.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!

Well fitted kitchen with all kitchenware you could need. We love Aldeburgh and surrounding areas and had a great 2 weeks with fantastic weather. Parts of the property are looking tired and need redecorating, some new windows and curtains required. Bathrooms should also be updated. After a long journey a few teabags/coffee/milk or bottle of wine on arrival would have been welcome.
