The Fox and Goose at Fressingfield – ±30 min’s - dog friendly in bar area – no dogs in main restaurant. Same food in both areas.
Watson and Walpole at Framlingham - ±35 min’s – dog friendly. Excellent Italian

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cart Lodge - the accommodation is spacious, well equipped and spotless. We appreciated the quiet location but also that it is well placed to explore the Suffolk and Norfolk countryside and coast. All in all thoroughly recommended, and thanks to the lovely, helpful owners for our stay.

We had a wonderful week staying at Cart Lodge. The Lodge provided us with luxury accommodation in a beautiful quiet rural location. All aspects of the Lodge were excellent, with the kitchen and sitting areas being very comfortable. The bathroom offers a wonderful shower, and the main bedroom a very comfortable super king size bed. We highly recommend the Cart Lodge as a delightful and very comfortable luxury accommodation.

A slightly mixed review. The property was high quality and beautifully clean. However, the website said the garden was enclosed and it isn't. There is no fencing down one side and the 5 barred garden gates were left open, which would have allowed dogs or small children to run onto a road carrying very fast traffic. I informed Original Cottages and believe the description has now been changed. There are iron stairs up to the property - these are clearly shown in photos but we under-estimated how much of a pain it would be to carry all our belongings upstairs - the owner kindly offered to help us but we would have felt bad accepting as he seemed no younger than us!
