We had a wonderful peaceful holiday at Mac Shack. Becky and Chris were marvellous hosts. They left us a scrumptious hamper with a bottle of wine and lots of goodies and Becky even made us homemade scones with jam and cream. Mac Shack itself was amazing with top spec appliances, comfy beds and ensuites to both bedrooms. Our two little dogs were spoilt as well with lovely comfy dog beds, towels and treats. They loved the enclosed garden which was lit up at night with twinkly lights, this was lovely to look at and great to be able to see the dogs when putting them out late at night! We adored being close to the horses as we used to own our own horses 25 yrs ago and we miss them very much! We will be back!

Visited Mac Shack for a week with my parents. Its situated in a peaceful setting and lovely to just hear the birds throughout the day. The accommodation was clean and to a high standard. Beds were comfortable and everything you would need for a holiday. Any queries we had with Chris were responded to promptly. Was great to watch Becky doing her training and to meet the horses, was a great experience for us all. Nearby Clear (6 mins) has a small Co-op for your needs with a couple of coffee shops and restaurants. The Country Park is also worth a visit and Platform One for a coffee and lunch. Overall, a great place to stay, would recommend especially if you want to unwind and recharge the battery.

One word - amazing! Everything was perfect. Clean , comfortable & every possible need catered for. One of the best properties we have ever stayed in. Becky was very friendly and the welcome milk, fresh bread, wine, butter, jam & cookies were perfect. Thank you. We hope to return in the future. Location, parking and access are great and if youâre taking pets , two beds, dog towels, bowls & treats were also provided and a hose wash for muddy paws. We had a fab bbq in the secure garden too.
