Set in the grounds of Dove House, surrounded by the rolling countryside of the Brett Valley, The Old Barn is a beautiful example of a 14th century Suffolk Hall house, which has been a working farm for centuries. Stitched together with a rich history, the original 19th century threshing barn is now a rustic farmhouse, providing the perfect base to explore all that Suffolk has to offer.

Packed with original character, the property has been lovingly restored to retain many of its original features, including exposed brickwork, timbers and vaulted ceilings. The entrance hallway leads into a double height galleried dining hall with additional seating and doors leading out to the swimming pool. Keen cooks will enjoy the sociable, well-equipped, rustic farmhouse kitchen complete with sit-up breakfast bar and an additional breakfast dining area. The comfortable sitting room, with its large inglenook fireplace and cosy wood burning stove, is the perfect place to relax after a day out exploring. If you need some quiet time, the upper floor galleried landing area is the perfect spot, with a picture window encompassing the stunning views over the pastures and fields beyond. There are four lovely bedrooms, a family bathroom and a Jack and Jill shower room, accessed via bedrooms two and three.

Outside you can enjoy breakfasting on the private patio, whilst having use of the shared, heated swimming pool during the summer months, the perfect respite on those hot sunny afternoons. This is a lovely place to relax and unwind.

There is a further property, Stable Cottage sleeping six guests in four bedrooms which is available to book separately, subject to availability, and shares access to the swimming pool.
