Tucked away in the picturesque village of Chelsworth in the heart of Suffolk, Maltings Lodge is a stylish and detached countryside retreat that perfectly combines contemporary comfort with rural charm. Just a short four-minute stroll from the award-winning pub, Peacock Inn and a ten-minute drive from the historic mediaeval village of Lavenham, an ideal base for exploring the beauty of Suffolk. With generous gardens overlooking rolling countryside and parking for up to six cars, it’s a wonderful setting for families and friends to relax and reconnect.

The property has been tastefully furnished and decorated throughout and is accessed via the back door that leads directly into the light filled kitchen with large glass doors opening onto the walled patio area. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, as well as a dining area for relaxing over breakfast in the morning sun which floods in through the doors from the south facing garden. There is a further formal dining room with seating for up to six guests making it an ideal space for celebrations! On cooler evenings, you can retreat to the large sitting room with comfy reclining sofas, Smart television and open fire. In the entrance hall there is a wet room. Moving through the property up to the first floor there are three well-appointed bedrooms. The spacious master bedroom has a 6' super-king size bed, television, wardrobe and en-suite shower room. Bedroom two provides another 6' super-king size bed, which can be configured as twin 3' single beds on request and shares the generous family bathroom with bedroom three which has a 3' single bed and ample wardrobe space. All of the bedrooms look out onto the open countryside.

Outside is a large, south facing patio with outdoor furniture and a charcoal barbecue. Guests have access to the lockable garden shed for storing bicycles, etc. There is a lawned area with shrubs and a picnic table to the rear of the property which is the ideal spot for an evening drink overlooking open farmland.
