Situated on the seafront promenade of Southend, this friendly guest house is the ideal base for a stay in the seaside resort. Providing four star accommodation, Ilfracombe Hotel offers great facilities in an unbeatable location.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

All of our bedrooms have excellent facilities including flatscreen televisions with over 80 channels including Sky Sports 1 and a DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, desk, trouser press, fan, phone, as well as an iron and ironing board.

All bed linen and towels are provided, and well as a travel cot for young children, should it be needed.

Choose from single, double, twin or family rooms, and all of the bedrooms also have an en- suite bathroom, which is fully tiled and includes complimentary toiletries.

Alternatively, there are also 4 self- catering apartments available, with 2 double bedrooms that can be let long- term or short- term.

Dining

There is a delicious hot buffet available every morning, serving full English breakfasts during the hours of 7.30am - 11am on weekdays, and 8.30am - 11am at weekends.

Evening meals are also served every night from 6pm - 9pm.

Free WiFi. We have a private car park to the rear of the hotel, and is free of charge. However, it is operated on a first come, first served basis.

Around and About

The seaside resort of Southend-on-Sea is a popular destination for holidaymakers, with some great attractions and a bustling high street. Take the kids to Adventure Island, with a number of high octance rides and fun activities. Take a stroll down the pier, catch a show at the Palace Theatre or go on a hike to the historic Hadleigh Castle, dating back to 1215.

Ideal for day trips, the capital city of London is also just a short train ride away, and is home to some of the most famous attractions in Britain, such as Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, Trafalgar Square, The tower of London, The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and The Natural History Museum.

Directions

By Train: To Southend Central station or to Southend Victoria. Both stations are within walking distance of the hotel or only 2 minutes by taxi.
By Car: Via the A127 follow the signs to the town centre and turn to A13 London Road at the end of Victoria Avenue. From London Road (A13) turn at the Cricketers Pub into Milton Road. Milton Road follows with Cambridge Road, then third on the right is Wilson Road, just before a mini roundabout. Our own car park may be found to the rear of the Ilfracombe Hotel in Alexandra Road.
