Guests say

Knighton Mill Dairy is a beautifully presented and spacious cottage in a tranquil riverside setting near Salisbury, ideal for couples seeking peace and relaxation. Guests praise its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable living area, with thoughtful touches such as tea, coffee, and biscuits on arrival. The location offers picturesque walks and a welcoming local pub. Some mention the spiral staircase and low ceiling in the bedroom may be challenging for taller guests, and minor maintenance issues were noted, but overall, the property provides a relaxing and enjoyable retreat.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as very clean and well-presented, with only minor issues such as a small bathroom leak and some kitchen utensils noted as slightly grubby by one guest.

The peaceful, idyllic riverside location is consistently praised, with easy access to countryside walks and a friendly local pub. Some guests mention the property can be a little tricky to find initially.

Guests find the cottage warm, relaxing, and comfortable, especially the living area. However, the spiral staircase and low ceiling in the bedroom may be less suitable for taller or less agile guests, and one guest found the mattress a little uncomfortable.

The cottage is well-equipped, with a good kitchen, underfloor heating, and both upstairs and downstairs toilets. Minor issues include difficulty with patio doors and an ill-fitted toilet seat, but these did not significantly detract from guests' stays.

Guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits on arrival, as well as friendly and helpful hosts. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Donna was very helpful but not obtrusive. Everything was very clean. I found the oven tricky at first but found instructions in the drawer. Downstairs has a really nice feel to it. Upstairs is a bit low but you get used to it. I enjoyed sitting in the window seat and watching the birds and stream next door. You need a car to get your food as shop is a walk down busy country lane. The white hart in bishop stone is good food and welcoming. Really enjoyed getting away from it all and WiFi works well too.

Really nice cottage, kitchen and living room fine, but bedroom was on mezzanine and not isolated from living space, also spiral staircase difficult to navigate in dark.

Lovely peaceful place to stay, with open field walks a minute from the door. Absolutely ideal for couples. The property was clean enough but had a few very small niggles- the bathroom floor had a puddle of water when we arrived due to the small hose thing by the toilet leaking where it had been left on, upstairs toilet seat ill fitted and the kitchen utensils were a little bit grubby. None of this really detracted from the stay as we just went there for a bit of a base for peace and quiet in the evenings. Would definitely stay again, if we found ourselves back in the area.
