A lovely comfortable cosy cottage, compact but filled with good quality furnishings. A lovely large bathroom with a large bath and double shower. Luxurious Bed linen and towels plus the added bonus of hand/shower gel and other bathing products. The only downside is the limited storage space in the bedroom…. Some drawers would be handy. Outside the broken and uneven path from the drive down to the cottage could be a bit precarious. The outside seating area needs maintaining and could be in a better position.

Pros - lovely little space. Very clean and well equipped. Comfy bed and pillows with lovely bedding and towels. Very handy sockets and usb ports by the bed. Good bathroom with shower and bath and lots of nice toiletries provided. Face cloths and makeup remover cloth nice touch. Hairdryer provided. Kitchen well equipped - plenty plates, bowls, glasses, cutlery etc. Owner very responsive to requests. Bottle of wine in kitchen as a welcome gift - hubby appreciated it as a wine drinker though not the lack of a corkscrew (this was very promptly brought when pointed out). Sitting room is small but very nicely decorated with a small sofa and a chair. Bookcase stocked with a wide range of books. Wi-Fi and plenty channels on tv. Key safe so easy to access at any time rather than restricted to a certain time. Very close to Stonehenge and park and ride to Salisbury not far. Cons - signs given on details of how to get there difficult to spot as small and partially hidden by trees. The post box would be better/easier to look out for. Property does not give a good first impression - unkempt patch of ground in front of door and steps and path to the door are broken and feel unsafe. Sitting room could use a small side table - used the stool from the kitchen to hold drink book etc. Wardrobe is small (though plenty hangers provided) and a shelf means anything long doesn’t hang correctly. No drawers - perhaps have these instead of bedside tables. Bedroom looks out on to a small courtyard used by other people which meant it didn’t feel very private. This courtyard would make a lovely sitting out area rather than the one at the top of the steps as it has no outlook other than your own car and a garage. Plus it is on a small flagged area which felt it would be easy to topple the chairs off. Would find the rubbish and recycling easier to sort into the various bins in the kitchen if they were labelled rather than having to refer to the extremely extensive handbook each time something to throw away. Overall would definitely recommend if looking for somewhere to sleep and relax with a bath, a book or the tv after a day out exploring with a bit more freedom than a hotel room. A perfect bolt hole for two.If looking for somewhere to spend more time, particularly outside, then probably not.
