Wisteria Cottage adjoins the owners popular tea rooms (open Tues-Thurs and Sunday), stay and enjoy a light lunch, cream tea or Sunday lunch or take your feast to your own private patio whilst taking in the cottage garden views. And with much to do nearby, you'll want to explore the local area. The National Trusts Compton Castle is just a few minutes walk away. Head into the bustling centre of Paignton where you can stroll along the esplanade, visit the Victorian Pier or enjoy a fish and chip supper on the green. For days out, why not head Paignton Zoo Environmental Park or catch the steam train to Kingswear and then on to historic Dartmouth by boat. The awe-inspiring South West Coastline offers a challenging hike across rugged clifftops and taking in some charming villages. Further afield are Dartmoor National Park and the golden sandy beaches of the South Hams. Wherever you spend your days, Wisteria Cottage is sure to delight.

Situated within the South Hams in Devon, is the small village of Marldon. This village plays host to a village hall, a pub serving food, a Post Office and a shop, in addition to a number of local businesses. For local attractions there is Babbacombe Model Village, Riverdart Country Park and Woodlands Leisure Park, each situated close by. Alternatively, Torquay can be found within 4 miles, where you explore the array of wonderful beaches, a colourful marina, theatre entertainment and restaurants. Closer to home is the seaside town of Paignton, where younger visitors will be delighted with Paignton Zoo, Splashdown Quaywest Waterpark and the sandy beach with a wonderful pier. Marldon is a delightful base, ideal for exploring the surrounding area.
