The Mizzen is a cosy fisherman's cottage situated just a few minutes' walk away from Brixham town centre and harbour. The property boasts panoramic views over the marina and out to sea.
A short leisurely walk leads down to Brixham's picturesque harbourside where you can watch the boats land their catch, or try your hand at crabbing. A fine selection of restaurants flank the harbourside offering fresh fish landed just yards away. From the harbourside, the shops and amenities of the town centre are within a few minutes' walk.
The coastal path is easily accessed from the property, leading to a selection of beaches and coves, as well as the ever popular sea water swimming pool at Shoalstone.
Those looking to entertain the family should head to Paignton, home to a fine selection of attractions including Paignton Zoo, the UK’s 3rd largest zoo, the Paignton to Dartmouth Steam Railway and Quaywest Waterpark.
Torquay is within a nine mile drive and offers a variety of both independent shops and high street names, ideal for a spot of retail therapy. Torquay is also home to top attractions such as Living Coasts and the Babbacombe Model Village, as well as a good selection of facilities such as Ten Pin Bowling.

My word, what a fantastic welcome! We were blown away with the view and welcome gifts. Top marks from us on comfort and cleanliness. We had a wonderful time here and don’t want to leave. Had a great trip on the Fairmile to Dartmouth and walked to Paignton along the coastal walk stopping at Broadsands for Lilly to swim and play on the sand. Look out for Sammy Seal, has been appearing most mornings has just come to say goodbye (down by Pilots boats). The Mizzen is highly recommended. Thank you so much

Have just returned from a most pleasurable weeks holiday at the Mizzen (20 - 27th July). From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed this accommodation. The property is a real credit to its owners. Perfect location, extremely well presented, spotlessly clean and nice to have the welcome gifts of flowers, cream tea and wine. Many thanks to Angela and Jeff for their attention to detail. Just love Brixham anyway but from the minute we walked in to the property we felt as though we wanted to live there permanently. The views from the lounge were outstanding and we spent many a happy hour just relaxing and taking in all the activity of the harbour. The overall presentation of the Mizzen was one of quality. A very cozy and comfortable cottage. The one and only point that we would comment on is that the number of steps up from the harbour are a little energy draining, particularly if you had been out walking all day. However once in the cottage this was rapidly forgotten and we relaxed and enjoyed the view. Overall our holiday was perfect and cannot wait to return. Wish we were still there now with this heat wave, perfect in every way.

Our first holiday experience with Blue Chip will certainly not be our last. Booking through Blue Chip could not have been easier. We booked online and all confirmation was quick and precise. The cottage we booked in Brixham was exactly as detailed in the online pictures and the views were magnificent. When we arrived at the cottage we were greeted with gifts of cream teas and wine which were a lovely surprise. The cottage was lovely and very clean. It had everything we needed for a self catering holiday including fresh milk in the fridge. The cottage was nicely decorated and the furniture very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable too. We would have no hesitation in recommending Blue Chip to our friends and family. We will be booking with them again very soon.
