A quirky 4 bedroom town house, sleeps 8. Full of character and furnished in a seaside style throughout and with stunning sea views
The Crow's Nest has the appearance of a classic Victorian terraced town house on the outside, but inside the property is furnished in a fun and quirky seaside style.
Built in 1851, as confirmed by the original deeds displayed above it's main feature fireplace, The Crow's Nest is arranged over four floors and features a narrow spiral staircase, with each room boasting its own individual charm and character.
Two of the three double bedrooms offer panoramic harbour, sea and town views while the kitchen balcony allows you to sit and watch the world go by on the water's edge below. The property contains all modern conveniences including Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washer/dryer, flatscreen TV and central heating. There are also many period features such as exposed brickwork, fireplaces or original wooden beams in virtually every room. The lower ground floor is split into two distinct areas, one ideal for quiet periods, the other equipped with range of entertainment and even it's own dedicated wine fridge. These rooms also allow access to the outside terrace which has a table, chairs and parasol positioned to take advantage of some more wonderful views. The Crow's Nest has a family bathroom on the first floor and separate shower and WC on the lower ground floor.
Brixham is fast becoming one of the South West’s upmarket resorts and has embraced café society to the full. Just walk along the harbour and see all the people sitting outside dining, while watching the boats on the water. Early risers will be able to watch the trawlers land in the mornings. Sea cruises round Torbay and Dartmouth are also popular, as is taking a walk across the cliffs at Berry Head or hunting for fossils at St Mary’s Bay.From the harbour, a short walk along the coastal path leads to a selection of beaches and coves, as well as the seawater swimming pool at Shoalstone. At Paignton, there are a fine selection of attractions including Paignton Zoo, the UK’s 3rd largest zoo; the Paignton to Dartmouth Steam Railway and Splashdown Quaywest Waterpark.

Our family rented The Crows Nest for February half term week and the family included grandparents, dogs and our 7 year old son. The cottage was lovely and very spacious. Although the steps were a little windy at first for grandad, he soon got used to them. The lounge was split into two seperate areas, which we loved as Gran could sit and watch the soaps in the evening and we used the other area to stream Netflix through our laptop though the cottage wifi - no arguments over the TV remote control! We had the top bedroom, which had amazing views over the bay. I often went to sit there with a glass of wine and just watch Brixham going about its business. Very relaxing. Our 7 year old loved the bunk beds and spent rainy afternoons in the top bunk reading his spiderman magazines. Brixham centre was just a few minutes walk away so really easy to pop down for newspapers and pastries in the morning, although not as easy to jog back up due to steep hill, but great exercise! We took the dogs walking at Shoalstone, Fishcombe and Paignton beaches, which they also loved. We loved this cottage and would go back.

Holiday at brixham is always my favorite!. We have stayed at the crows nest before and it never let's us down . The location is utterly stunning. Right by the harbour and only a small drive to a v nice beach .The stairs around are not for the fainthearted (or the disabled/buggy on a serious note). It's a tiny piece of tranquility that isn't boring or dull. Brilliant for our family who range from 7 to 68 . Will be going again that's for sure x
