Rockfish is a stylish, ground-floor apartment, perfectly positioned just a 30-second stroll from Brixham’s bustling harbour. Housed in a former fishing store, it’s ideal for couples or solo travellers looking to experience the heart of this vibrant coastal town, and dogs are very welcome, too.
Inside, you’ll find a light, thoughtfully styled living space with a large L-shaped sofa, perfect for sinking into after a day by the sea. The modern kitchen area is well equipped for relaxed meals in, and the bedroom, set at the rear of the property, offers a comfortable retreat at the end of the day.
Steeped in character, Rockfish was once a storage space for local fishermen working out of Brixham harbour. While the nets and barrels are long gone, its seafaring past still adds charm to this well-located bolthole.
Step outside, and within moments you’re at the harbour’s edge – ready to explore independent shops, seafood restaurants, pubs, boat trips, and Brixham’s famous fish market. The town is full of personality, from the replica Golden Hind ship to year-round festivals and waterside markets.
You’re right in the middle of the action, with everything from artisan coffee to fish and chips just a short walk away. It’s a fantastic base for exploring the South Devon coast, with Paignton’s sandy beaches and the historic town of Dartmouth both nearby.

Lovely little gem of a cottage (apartment) in beautiful Brixham. We absolutely loved this place and hope to return soon!.Excellent location literally on the harbour side with some beautiful walks, restaurants, and views. Our favourite place to eat was the Prince William. It has a great menu of fresh well cooked food and big portions. Rockfish restaurant was also good for fish lovers. There were so many places to choose from within walking distance.The apartment itself was very comfy and had everything needed. I think they had literally thought of everything. The owner is a lovely compassionate chap who made sure before, during and after that everything was going well. Great signage and info inside to help the stay go smoothly and easy to get hold of if required.Lovely big comfy sofa and very well equipped kitchen. Bed also very comfy. It's a bit snug in the bedroom on one side maybe if you had mobility issues but we managed just fine. The place was absolutely spotless and well decorated.Paignton and Torquay nearby via car, bus or a nice little boat trip (which we did from Brixham harbour). Dartmouth and Kingswear heading the other way. We had a lovely visit to Coleton Fishacre while we were there. A beautiful national trust place with an Art Deco house, stunning gardens, and sea / cliff views to die for. It's a must! All in all, we can't recommend this place enough.

Fantastic location comfy stay. Shame not got a fire of some sorts but otherwise fab. loved the shower good comfy settee and bed. Fantastic location loved the area. Would come back. Carpark easy to get to £54 for week easy to pay. Flat walk first bit then uphill to cottage. Used car slot to offload luggage 🧳

Rockfish Cottage was everything we wanted it to be: located just by The Quay, Harbour and the main streets.Plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops pubs and buses within a few minutes walk.Travelling by bus to Paignton and Torquay was cheap and easy.The Cottage was clean, well equipped and the keybox made arriving and departing quick and easy.
