About this property

Resting in the popular coastal town of Brixham is this lovely studio apartment, Hidden Treasure, offering a snug retreat for a couple to spend a relaxing break in this quaint fishing town. Following a short stroll up the hill from the harbour, come to find this apartment at the end of a delightful terrace and get settled in. Come in from days on the beach to the open-plan living space, and relax on the sofa as a bottle of wine is opened and a toast is made to your holiday adventures. Rustle up a quick dish using the useful kitchen space, where a mini oven and 2-ring hob can assist you in producing a tasty meal to be eaten out on your own private patio overlooking the harbour below, an idyllic way to end another wonderful day. Retire to the bedroom where a double bed awaits behind a screen, decorated in crisp white with attractive furnishings to match where you can store your things. Freshen up in the shower room where a shower cubicle, basin and WC provide a neat spot to wash away the sand and sea water. Find Brixham to be a perfect fusion of old and new, where an abundance of independent shops, restaurants and pubs sit alongside the quaint fishing harbour and you can watch the trawlers landing their catch. On the edge of Brixham is Shoalstone Beach, home to an outdoor seawater swimming pool, built into the rocky foreshore; spend sunny days here lounging on the beach or dipping in the seawater pool, relishing the English summer. Resting further south close to the mouth of the River Dart is the wonderful National Trust property Coleton Fishacre House & Gardens, a 1920s house providing a lovely day out, with amazing exotic gardens to explore. Within reach of the superb town of Dartmouth too, Hidden Treasure will be a perfect base for a couple's adventures in Devon.

Brixham is a delightful town resting on the Devonshire coastline; it still has a working harbour and is considered to be part of 'The English Riviera', famed for its sunny climate all year round. Buildings line the hillside almost on top of each other, creating a quaint, coastal scene, where a smattering of local shops, pubs and restaurants provide all you need for a wonderful self-catered stay. Visit nearby Darmouth, Torquay or Paignton for more pretty places to enjoy the delights of Devon.

We arrived early evening to a fantastic sunset and an array of lights that shone across the harbour, the view was absolutely stunning! A beautiful studio apartment that has been well thought out. Everything that you need; lovely and clean, a thoughtful welcome gift from the proprietors, a secluded patio area, peace, tranquillity and amazing views, also an absolute must a parking space!! what more could you ask for? The property is well situated with access to walks, town, shops, beaches and magnificent surrounding areas to visit. Our first trip to 'Beautiful Brixham' but definitely not our last!

The details on how to find the property should be revised to correct the errors. The property was conveniently located to reach the centre of Brixham where there were a number of good restaurants and coffee shops. The property was suitable for a stay in better weather when the view of the harbour could be appreciated

All comments on the excellent shower, the comfortable bed, the treats and helpful hosts are accurate - the parking video was especially helpful. The sofa is not the comfiest sadly but it's a challenging space to fill. There are so many excellent places to eat in Brixham that I didn't take up the challenge of using the 2 ring hob!!
