Head 1 mile down the road into Brixham’s town centre, where you can wander the shops and independent seafood restaurants or watch the fishing boats sail in and out of the working harbour. Whilst there, be sure to check out the life-size replica of The Golden Hind and discover Sir Francis Drake’s famous worldwide voyages. For a more outdoorsy day out, explore the hiking trails at the Berry Head Nature Reserve, which boasts coastal walking routes, 400-million-year-old limestone cliffs and some of the Riviera’s most amazing views.
