The bustling amenities of town are within walking distance where you can stroll along the sandy beaches, browse in the galleries or feast on freshly caught fish in one of the harbourside bistros. Take a trip to nearby Paignton for traditional games on the pier or discover underwater habitats at Torquay’s Living Coasts aquarium.

Situated in a traffic-free area, this quaint property is full of charm and character. The open-plan living area is tastefully decorated, and underfloor heating makes this a warm and cosy space. After a day at the beach, put your feet up on the sofa and relax. Beyond is the well-equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing locally purchased produce to be enjoyed at the nearby dining table. Up a set of winding stairs are the bedrooms and family shower room. The first-floor twin bedroom and second-floor king-size room both have magnificent views across the harbour. A further child’s bedroom is also on the second floor. Outside, you can stroll around the shared garden or enjoy a morning coffee on the bistro stable to the front of the cottage.

Wander into Brixham to discover its maritime heritage at the museum, select your supper in the fish market or share fish and chips sat on the harbour wall. Take to the water for a sailing lesson or try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding. Step back in time on board the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle for a Dartmouth River Cruise (6.5 miles) and disembark to climb the battlements of Dartmouth Castle for splendid views along the river.
