Stables End is a very comfortable cottage, well equipped and in a good location. We have stayed in many cottages and this was one of the most comfortable. The cottage is very tastefully furnished and well maintained. It was clean and tidy on arrival and a perfect location if you're looking for a quiet place to stay which is in within driving distance of some of the best places to visit on Exmoor.

A wonderful and peaceful location. Warm, welcoming and friendly hosts. In spite of the wet weather we had a great week, and we would highly recommend Stables End. It’s a beautiful area with loads to do within a relatively short driving distance.

Excellent accommodation. No faults, owners on site, nothing is too much, although we didn’t need them for anything. My only comment if have a dog, ours is a a bit nervous. She wouldn’t use the section of lawn and gravel by the cottage for toileting. Used their section of garden for some reason, although they didn’t mind, I felt a little embarrassed. Also, not many of the roads locally have footpaths, especially around the cottage, so it’s something to be aware of.Apart from that, just a superb base. Centre of Watchet is a 10 minute drive away, it’s just a harbour with a few shops, pubs and cafes. Nearest beach is Blue Anchor and Dunster, mainly pebble/shingle.
