Guests particularly appreciate the peaceful setting, ideal for relaxing and exploring the Quantocks and local villages. The property is especially popular with dog owners due to the spacious garden. While some mention limited kitchen facilities and occasional road noise, the overall experience is positive, with many guests noting the cleanliness, comfort, and helpfulness of the hosts.
Multiple reviews highlight the property as spotlessly clean, bright, and well-presented, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness.
The location is praised for its proximity to the Quantocks, local attractions, and ease of access. Some mention minor road noise and the need to drive for walks or shops, but overall feedback is very positive.
Guests consistently mention the comfort of the super king-size bed, spacious accommodation, and relaxing atmosphere. Occasional comments about the room getting stuffy are noted but do not detract significantly.
Facilities are generally well-received, with quality furnishings and a secure garden. Some guests note the kitchenette is basic, with limited cooking options and a small fridge, and mention the lack of a wardrobe or washing machine.

I have just spent 4 wonderful nights at this great secluded retreat. The hosts were very helpful and friendly to me and my dog. The grounds/ garden were extensive and beautiful and very secure for my dog. The accommodation was amazing and was very clean and well presented.I would highly recommend this cottage . I hope to return again soon

We stayed here hoping for a romantic, private getaway. While the accommodation is charming, it may not suit those seeking full seclusion, as it is very close to the main house. At times this reduced the sense of privacy, with people pasing by the windows unexpectedly. Wi-Fi is limited as it relies on the main house, and amenities are basic. There is no washing machine or oven in the accommodation (available via the main house), and cooking is limited to a two-hob stove. That said, the hosts are warm and welcoming, and clearly want guests to enjoy their stay. They were respectful and not intrusive. The setting is generally peaceful, with birdsong and some light road noise. The garden is open rather than enclosed, which may be a consideration for pet owners. The location is excellent for exploring nearby walks, beaches, and local attractions. Caroline and John are lovely as is their property. Just not the romantic bolt hole we were hoping for.
