The Cottage, Catford House is a charming one bedroom traditional character cottage, set in a quiet rural location. The bed is king-size double, which can be made up as a twin on request. The cottage has recently been completely refurbished throughout and we are delighted to offer it for holidays.
Accommodation
The Cottage at Catford House has an entrance porch/lobby with storage, coat hooks and space for muddy boots.
The open-plan living and dining room has a NEW two seated leather reclining sofa, and one comfortable single chair. The inglenook fireplace has a NEW Wood Warm Log burner (one basket of logs provided, along with kindling, firelighters and matches). A NEW electric radiator provides the back ground heating for the living and dining area. There is a smart TV and an excellent fibre broadband connection.
Conveniently close to the dining area the recently refurbished and fully equipped kitchen has electric hob and oven, a new built in fridge with freezer compartment, and a Bosch dishwasher.
Stairs from the ground floor lead up to the large open plan, double aspect bedroom, tastefully furnished, with a super king size double bed, which can be made up as two single beds on request (please make this request at the time of booking, or at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date. There are bedside drawers, a chest of drawers, blanket box and a walk in wardrobe. There are two new electric radiators.
The en-suite shower room, comprises an electric shower, a recently installed heated towel rail, low level WC and wash basin with electric light and shaver point over. All recently decorated and refurbished.
Bed linen and towels are provided, please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take them on day trip with you away from the cottage.
Electricity, one basket of logs and wifi is included in the price of your accommodation.

Once again we stayed at the cottage for the second year running but this time we took our dog. The owners could not do enough to welcome him and to help us keep to the dog rules. A gate at the bottom of the stairs and a dog bowl in case we forgot ours. In fact there is a water bowl as well now a.... Even a doggy towel was available in case one forgot his. It is a very nice place to stay and is on a working farm.. If you want a very quiet holiday this is the place to go. The cottage is kept very clean and well presented. It is in an ideal position for walks.

The Cottage is perfect for an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.A very quiet place with amazingly dark skies at night ideal for stargazing. Well located for walking and about 30 min drive to the coast .(it's surprising how long you can drive without seeing another vehicle) There are.... Well located for walking and about 30 min drive to the coast .(it's surprising how long you can drive without seeing another vehicle) There are no shops or pubs within walking distance ,a short drive away a local town has shops pubs and a co-op.
