Accommodation
Worthy Cottage kitchen is fitted with washing machine, fridge/ freezer, microwave, electric oven and ceramic hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. Iron and Ironing board and hair dryer are included. Nespresso coffee machine (a small selection of pods is provided on arrival). Note, there is no dishwasher in this cottage.
The TV has an Amazon Firestick providing access to Amazon Prime, Netflix , BBC iplayer, ITV Hub, BT Sport and the owners library of films/TV series' etc. WIFI is available throughout the property.
A travel cot and/or high chair is available; please request them when booking so we can make sure they are present for your arrival.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Worthy Cottage is fitted with wall-mounted heaters in the bedroom and living area, which can provide instant heat or programmed to suit, plus a wall-mounted heater and heated towel rail in the bathroom. There is also a wood burner in the living area; kindling, matches and a basket of logs will be provided. Additional logs/kindling can be purchased from the hardware shop in Porlock.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Bed linen is not supplied for the cot.
A small amount of tea, nespresso coffee pods, sugar and milk are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive.
Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, washing powder and surface cleaner will be present in the property. Two toilet rolls will be provided.

We booked this proprty last minute to extend our existing stay in Devon mainly for its location and value for money. Porlock Weir is quiet, picturesque and friendly. We found the cottage to be old worldy and rural with period features like a cosy woodburning stove, solid stone walls and character do.... We found the cottage to be old worldy and rural with period features like a cosy woodburning stove, solid stone walls and character doors. The garden views were stunning. The kitchen was modern compared to the rest of the cottage and the bedroom was very spacious with a super comfy bed. The linen was crisp and fresh smelling. Alan the owner was easily contactable by text, friendly and helpful.
