When sleep calls, make your way to one of the beautifully-presented bedrooms to catch your rest. In the gorgeous town of Minehead, you'll find an abundance of things to do; head to the beach or Splash Waterworld for a sunny day out, stroll around the vibrant flower beds in Blenheim Gardens and go to Inn On The Green or The Old Ship Aground to treat yourselves to a delicious meal. Drive over to Taunton for a riverside picnic or cafe lunch at French Weir Park, for a taste of history head over to the Museum of Somerset and check out the art exhibitions or catch a stage performance at Taunton Brewhouse. In the lovely town of Bridgwater learn more about the history of the area at Blake Museum and Somerset Brick and Tile Museum, have a delicious dinner at Wild Rocket and those travelling in November will be able to attend The Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival, the UK’s oldest carnival and one of the world’s largest illuminated processions! Enjoy all of this and more with a stay at Wendy's Cottage.

The popular seaside resort of Minehead occupies a wonderful sheltered spot beneath the dramatic North Hill, on the lovely West Somerset Coast. This welcoming town boasts a mile long esplanade, providing a wonderful backdrop to the golden beach, whilst the pretty harbour, visited in the summer by the famous paddle steamer Waverley, offers excellent fishing opportunities. Enjoy a nostalgic steam train journey from the seafront on the West Somerset Railway, or visit Blenheim Gardens, winner of many awards for its beautiful floral displays. Renowned for the largest herd of red deer in England, Exmoor National Park with its wooded valleys, pretty bridlepaths and heather clad moors, is well worth a visit, whilst the magnificent Norman Castle at nearby Dunster is a must.
