Guests say

Hideaway is a charming, peaceful cottage set in beautiful countryside with stunning valley views. Guests consistently praise the warm and welcoming host, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped kitchen. The tranquil setting is ideal for relaxation and nature lovers, with lovely gardens and plenty of walks nearby. While the rural location means narrow lanes and variable Wi-Fi, most guests find the seclusion and scenery well worth it. The cottage is clean, cosy, and offers thoughtful touches, making it a delightful retreat for couples, families, and those seeking a break from city life.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as very clean and well-maintained, with no significant complaints about cleanliness. The high standard is consistently noted by guests.

The rural, secluded location is praised for its peace, quiet, and beautiful views. Some guests mention the narrow, steep access lanes as challenging, but most appreciate the tranquillity and proximity to local attractions.

Guests frequently mention comfortable beds, cosy furnishings, and a relaxing atmosphere. A few note the bathroom's sloped ceiling and shower arrangement as less convenient, but overall comfort is rated highly.

The cottage is described as well-equipped, with a good kitchen, garden, BBQ lodge, and even an air fryer. Wi-Fi is present but can be unreliable, and the shower arrangement is less ideal for taller guests.

The host is repeatedly described as friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Some guests mention thoughtful touches such as tea and biscuits on arrival, but please note that such gifts are not guaranteed.

Fantastic stay at Sheilas little Hideaway. Definitely lived up to its name. The views , listening to nothing but nature with my morning coffee and Shielas knowledge of the area were amazing. We would definitely recommend a stay here. The Bear Inn is worth a visit, one of Sheilas recommendations for food, and has its own brewery. Lovely home, lovely host and lovely holiday. Thank you
