This beautiful quirky property is perfect for couples who are looking to relax and explore all that Somerset has to offer. Adjoining the owner’s home of Midelney Farm, the property has been restored and furnished to an exceptional and individual standard, and will certainly make a lasting impression from the minute you walk in. On the ground floor there is an open-plan living space with beams, traditional flagstone floor, wood burner and built-in kitchen and sink area. The fridge/freezer and microwave are in a recess off the tiled entrance hall. Steep stairs lead to the first floor bedroom with beams, a kingsize bed, fitted carpet and plenty of shelves and drawers for storage. Outside, the beautiful courtyard with a water feature is the perfect spot for relaxing with a glass of wine after a busy day of exploring.
Langport, which offers a good selection of shops, pubs and cafés is no more than 2 miles away. For history lovers, English Heritage’s historic Muchelney Abbey is well worth a visit, as are several National Trust properties including Barrington Court and Lytes Carey. For golfers, there is a pay-and-play 18-hole golf course just 10 minutes away in Long Sutton. Pub within 1 mile.

We had a lovely stay at the Music Room. The location is quiet whilst keeping you close to lots of interesting places to visit in Somerset. This was the second time we have visited and were delighted to find the cottage was equally well equipped and tidy. Would definitely book again and recommend to others.

Midelney Music Room was the perfect cottage for the two of us to get away and have a much needed break away from every day life and a little break from being parents. The cottage and garden was so peaceful and relaxing but also very clean. You didn’t need anything as all was provided, sans food of course. Robin and Penn was the best hosts and ever so welcoming. We will definitely be staying again once the grandparents decide to take the kiddies away again.

Couldn’t have found a better place to escape from the city for a few days. Waking to bird song and being surrounded by such beautiful scenery, walks and nature were the perfect antidote for anyone needing a break and reset. The cottage itself was so tastefully done, so many original features and decor that we adored. Having a fire each night was one of the best things ever! Little touches everywhere like the welcome hamper, water bottles and quick tour by Robin were just wonderful and very much appreciated. Robin and Pen are so lovely and accommodating giving us handy information on walks and nearest places to go.We would have stayed there forever if we could. Thank you Robin and Pen for letting us stay and share your beautiful space
