South Chard is a small village near Chard, South Somerset. It has a pub/restaurant and a convenience shop, and Chard has more options. Axminster, Devonshire's market town, is nestled between the Blackdown Hills aonb and the East Devon aonb. Featuring the Axminster Heritage Museum in Thomas Whitby's house, as well as being adjacent to several routes for walking, trekking, and cycling, especially Over the Hill to Holditch with your pet companion. South Chard is a great Somerset getaway.
