There is a cosy kitchen area and dining table in an L-shaped room with views looking out over rolling pastures of the countryside. Outside there is ample parking at the front and a pub right across the road, ideal for socialising with the locals and indulging in evening drinks. The village of Barton St David is situated about 5 miles South East of Glastonbury and just 5 miles North East of Somerton, so there is plenty of fun to be had in the area. If you want to spend a day relaxing, enjoying lovely food, beautiful scenery and old town charm, then Somerton is the place to visit. There are many walks for all abilities which take you in and around the town to admire the elegant architecture. It also has the wonderful Viaduct Fishery specialising in coarse fishing with a beautiful and peaceful vista in which to relax in the heart of the Cary valley. The Barn is a beautiful annex perfect for romantic couples or a family of four wanting to escape to the country.

The delightful, historic Somerset market town of Somerton, once the ancient capital of Wessex, borders the scenic Somerset Levels, just south of Glastonbury. The attractive town centre offers visitors an array of local shops, banks, pubs and restaurants. Somerton provides a perfect base from which to explore lovely Somerset, with the surrounding countryside teeming with pretty villages and quiet country lanes with footpaths, ideal for walkers and cyclists, with ancient Glastonbury, Clarkes shopping village at Street, Wells Cathedral, Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge all within an easy drive.
