Very comfortable and clean. Thank you

Overall, I’d describe this park as pleasant but average. Its biggest strengths are the beautiful location and comfortable accommodation, but there are several areas that need improvement.Check-in is strictly between 4pm and 6pm. If you arrive later, you must collect your key via security, meaning you miss the usual welcome and information about the park. The lodge was clean, well presented and nicely decorated, with a well-equipped kitchen. However, there was no guest information folder, so we had to return to reception to ask about facilities and pool times. The decking needed cleaning, the outdoor furniture was worn, and the bedrooms require attention. The beds were rickety, the mattresses uncomfortable, and there were small maintenance issues. The biggest issue was a faulty bathroom door that couldn’t be repaired, leaving us without proper privacy for the duration of our stay. The bar was pleasant, reasonably priced and staffed by friendly people, although our interaction with the manager was less welcoming.Entertainment is where the park falls behind similar holiday parks. During our seven-night stay there was very little on offer beyond bingo and one quiz night. Several arcade machines were out of order, the play park is mainly suited to younger children, and the advertised multi-sports court couldn’t be fully used because there were no nets. The swimming pool was clean but had inconsistent opening hours, sometimes closing as early as 4pm for public lessons, which wasn’t made clear before arrival. The “farm shop” was also disappointing, offering mostly convenience items rather than local produce. The park’s greatest asset is its location, with attractions including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and Stonehenge within easy reach. We enjoyed our holiday overall, but for the price, we expected better maintenance, facilities and entertainment.
