Continue to the nearby breakfast room and be charmed by the pleasant décor, before rustling up a heartwarming meal with the ample appliances available, from a De Longhi toaster to a convenient dishwasher. When dinner is ready, gather your loved ones around the dining table to savour a delicious meal as you recount the day’s adventures. End the day in style with a leisurely seat in the garden and soak in the tranquil setting with a refreshing glass of wine, enveloped in the quirky crabapple trees and wildflowers that decorate the well-kept outdoor space. You are also able to enjoy the beautifully landscaped six-acre garden of Stoberry House, where you can spot the wonders of Wells Cathedral, Glastonbury Tor and the Vale of Avalon in the distance. Head into the heart of Wells, famously known as England's smallest city, and marvel at the stunning architecture of Wells Cathedral, dating back to the 12th century, discover the heritage moat and bell-ringing swans that surround The Bishop's Palace, or browse the local wares and fresh produce on offer at the weekly market in the Market Place. The surrounding area boasts several National Trust Properties and Gardens for you to marvel at, including the breathtaking Stourhead House and Montecute house (both are located within an hour from the property), as well as the lush gardens of RHS’s Rosemoor, Forde Abbey and the Hestercombe Gardens. Close-by is the magnificent town of Glastonbury, where you can venture through the remains of the once-glorious Glastonbury Abbey, view the mythical Chalice Well and learn of the local history at the Somerset Rural Life Museum.
