The Bullseye in Stonehouse offers a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, a large hot tub, and a games room that provides entertainment for all ages. Guests have praised the property's suitability for family gatherings and celebrations, highlighting the fun activities available. Some guests have received thoughtful gestures from the owner, such as desserts, which added to their positive experience.
Reviews indicate that cleanliness is an area of concern, with reports of stains, mould, and ingrained dirt. Some guests found the property to be clean upon arrival, but the overall feedback suggests that a deep clean and better maintenance are needed.
There is insufficient information to accurately score the location. While one review mentioned the property being in the middle of a residential estate, there are no further details on the location's desirability or convenience.
The property is generally considered comfortable, with ample space and comfy beds mentioned. However, some guests noted issues with sofa beds and a lack of curtains, which affected the overall comfort level.
Facilities like the hot tub and games room are highly appreciated when functional, but several reviews cite maintenance issues such as broken electrics and a lack of kitchen equipment. The property seems to offer great amenities, but reliability is a concern.
The owner has shown thoughtfulness by responding to issues and providing desserts as a gesture, which guests found delightful. However, it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed and may not be a consistent experience for all guests.

The town of Stroud is known as the less commercial corner of the Cotswolds, a somewhat bohemian collection of buildings, squares and lanes, tucked into the green hills which once housed countless sheep during the town’s time as the centre of the Cotswold’s woollen industry. Today, Stroud welcomes visitors to its friendly cafes, quaint bookshops, independent shops and tempting eateries. Described by Jasper Conran as the ‘Covent Garden of the Cotswolds’, Stroud has a regular farmers' market, year-round programmes of music and theatre, a thriving arts scene and a state-of-the-art cinema. For simply relaxing, Stratford Park on the edge of town offers lakeside walks, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a museum. Head out of town to explore the five sweeping valleys which surround it, with country lanes just made for walking or cycling.

The property is very dirty with stains on the carpets and sofas. No curtains in 2 of the rooms Mould in some rooms Lots of ingrained dirt in many areas- feels like it need a complete deep clean - yes I have many photos and videos to prove this. WiFi didnât work - the owner rectified this very quickly - but was aware before our arrival. The hot tub was broken and the chlorine so high it destroyed some swim wear. The dart board didnât work Heating in the games room Donât work so we couldnât use that. Indoor games room is very good. Spacious kitchen Decor is shabby - mould and wall paper coming away from the wall in several places. Front slabs move and are a hazard. Some of our group left early because of the noncurtain aspect on the bedrooms. Comfy beds. Only 1 bathroom for the house and the water doesnât drain away in the shower- which we had to deep clean before using. The en suite shower is tiny and not good. There is one downstairs toilet. The freezer was very dirty in the draws inside. We would recommend the owner spend time cleaning and maintaining the property as it doesnât look like the photos- it has a lot of potential As it is big- however it is now in need of repair and should not be rented out again until the long list of problems are rectified as it isnât fair to paying customers and we are not the only ones! We are trying to get this resolved as it really impacted our special occasion as was not as advertised or described. We have reported this to Sykes as it really isnât as it is portrayed in the photos and many features were not available during our stay.

It was perfect for a multi generational group (7- 80). The house was clean and welcoming. Great space for our family parties - we were celebrating 2 birthdays. The games room and hot tub were in constant use, as were the gaming machines. We mainly self catered and did take a lot of equipment with us after reading previous reviews but in fact, there was plenty of pots and pans. Agree a couple of bowls would be useful and an oven glove! Good contact with owner, in response to queries and he even sent a delivery of desserts, which was much appreciated. We would definitely go again.

The house was beautiful on arrival, very clean and well presented. The space is huge and perfect for what we needed it for. We had an issue getting the heating on which was actioned and sorted very quickly by the owner. The house in general does need a bit of attention/TLC. A radiator had come off the wall, some windows/patio doors with no blinds or curtains, walls needing a real freshen up from scuffs and dents. Thereâs no drawers in the bedrooms which isnât ideal when away for a week. Sofa beds are really only suitable for 1 person thereâs no way you could get 2 people on them. Kitchen has plenty cups/plates/cutlery but there were a good few things that it didnât have which youâd only really notice when cooking by which point itâs too late. Would also recommend bringing every single food item you need even down to salt/pepper/oil. No recycling facilities which isnât great with the amount of rubbish produced by 18 people. Towels are very small but luckily had bought some of our own. Overall, itâs not total luxury if thatâs what youâre looking for. But we did have a lovely stay and would probably go back if it were for another large celebration gathering. The external games room really made the whole week and was great fun. Really good size. And the hot tub is huge!
